Dr. Mazen
Dr. Mazen Khusayem is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician. He graduated from Aleppo School of Medicine in Syria with a medical degree and completed his residency at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital and Temple University in PA. He has provided personalized, quality care for patients at Clayton Internal Medicine since 2000.
Dr. Khusayem is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc, the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, and the American Med Spa Association and regularly attends seminars and training in order to deliver the most advanced and up to date treatment regimens for all medical spa therapy offered at Awaken Med Spa of Clayton.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as traveling, soccer and fitness.
Conley
With a deep passion for helping people feel better and lead happier lives, Conley loves coming into work every day, knowing she will be making a positive impact on patients. Conley is a registered nurse with a background in intensive care nursing before transitioning to aesthetics. She is Allergan trained and has been practicing as a nurse injector for four years. Conley has found that with years of experience working in Intensive Care, she brings a gentle touch, safety, and knowledge of facial anatomy to each patient experience. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two French bulldogs.
Katie
Katie is a North Carolina native who has always had a passion for skincare and aesthetics. She graduated in 2021 with her Esthetics Technology certificate from Wake Tech CC, and is a licensed esthetician with a focus on medical aesthetics. Since graduating, she has worked in the med spa industry performing HydraFacials, medical grade chemical peels, microneedling, and laser services. She is certified in Hydrafacial, Cutera Lasers, SkinPen, and is educated on many lines of skincare. In her free time, she loves to read, spend time with friends, shop, and travel. Katie’s biggest goal is to continue to educate herself and learn as much as she can about the industry. She loves getting to know clients and helping them achieve their goals through customized treatment plans. She can’t wait to meet you!
Abby
Abby is a former esthetician from the state of Florida. She is passionate about self-care. She has over seven years of experience in the spa industry. In her free time, she enjoys reading, art, and dance. She also enjoys helping in the community by participating in volunteer opportunities. She loves meeting new people and engaging with them. Her goal is to assist our client care coordinator to provide our clients with the ultimate med spa experience and to reach their aesthetic goals.
Ashley
Ashley is a licensed esthetician, Graduating from Aveda in 2022. She is passionate about
self-care and getting her hands on all things esthetics.
Ashley enjoys spending her free time outdoors and with her family. She loves to continue to
educate herself about new products and technology in the aesthetic industry.
Her goal is to provide our clients with the ultimate med spa experience and to help them reach
their aesthetic goals.
