Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

What are they?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers are comprised of a gel that helps to restore volume loss, correct asymmetries in the face, and enhance the face, cheeks, lips, chin, jawline, and under eyes

Hyaluronic acid is responsible for keeping the skin youthful, plump, and hydrated.  We start losing hyaluronic acid as early as our twenties and HA fillers can be used to help correct and improve the aging process in the face and body.

Types of HA fillers:

Juvederm and Restylane fillers can be used to address several signs of aging as well as to enhance your natural beauty.

Am I a good candidate?

Your provider will perform a full-face assessment to determine what products would be best to help achieve your aesthetic goals.  Most clients are great candidates for HA fillers as they are safe, effective, and provide long lasting natural results.

What to expect:

HA fillers are injected into the skin and provide immediate results that can last upwards of 24 months.  The HA fillers that we provide are all mixed with lidocaine which provides natural anesthesia to help minimize any discomfort associated with your injected treatment.  Most injectable appointments can be done in an hour and have very little associated down time.  You can typically return to all normal activities within 24-48 hours.  The most common side effects associated with Juvederm and Restylane are bruising, tenderness at the injection site, and minor swelling which subsides within a few days.

Radiesse

What is it?

Radiesse is known as a bio-stimulating filler.  It not only volumizes the skin, but also helps to stimulate your own body’s collagen production.  We lose collagen and elastin as we age and eventually stop making them.  Radiesse has the benefit of both restoring volume loss as well as improving the overall condition and youthfulness of your skin over time.  Radiesse can be injected in the face, neck, decollate as well as other parts of the body such as the abdomen, knees, and buttocks to tighten and enhance your own body’s anatomy.

What to expect

Radiesse is a relatively painless injectable with results seen immediately and then continuing to improve over the course of 8-12 weeks.  Your provider can use lidocaine to minimize any discomfort associated with the treatment.  Most patients can return to normal activities within 24-48 hours.  The most common side effects associated with Radiesse are bruising, tenderness at the injection site, and minor swelling which subsides within a few days.

Am I a good candidate?

If you are looking to add volume to your face or smooth out wrinkles in your neck and chest or augment your buttocks, Radiesse would be an excellent choice of filler to help you to achieve those goals.  In addition, Radiesse is a great investment in your skin as results can last up to 2 years with the added benefit of improving the overall structure and appearance of your skin.
